Mentoring scheme for new veggies and vegans

We know that for some people, making the move to live meat-free and a more compassionate life is a laudable ideal, but in reality can be a bit daunting. This is especially true if friends, work colleagues and family are not able to offer support, or in some cases, usually through ignorance, are fairly hostile to the idea!

Apart from this, ensuring that you are eating a balanced, healthy diet can be a worry, as is ensuring that what you are eating is suitable for the vegetarian/vegan diet (animal products can turn up in the most unlikely foodstuffs - the recent horsemeat scandal has shown this to be very true!).

Just remember, we have all been there at one stage or another!

To help anyone who wants to become a veg*an, members of DAVV can offer a mentoring system to help you step by step to a new way of living.
